True Allies
True Allies
We have accomplished so much on just love, dirt, passion, and our very lives. But how can we collapse time and make it reproduceable at a village level? Kevin Kelly’s well known essay “1000 True Fans” suggests a funding structure in which 1000 supporters each donate a small amount to sustain a project they really believe in. We are looking for 1000 “True Allies” to each pledge $10 per month x 24 months to help support this cause to create a reproduceable, sustainable, resilient and thriving village out of one of the most blighted innercity neighborhoods in the U.S. and then to share these sustainable technologies and the model with the world through our videos and open source database. All Donations are tax deductable. We have created a few options in the drop down box below. And if you have not heard the story yet click here for the video. Thank you for joining and locking arms with us. —- And Share it!
You can also make a one-time donation here

We are glad to support this effort. The work that these guys are doing is amazing, both in the development of sustainable agriculture and sustainable fuel production. But really in Neighborhood transformation. Check out the highly requested interview here: http://bit.ly/n37BjS

A friend and fellow volunteer at Oakhurst Community Garden here in Decatur Ga sent me a link to you video. That is how I found you. I am excited about what you are doing in your community and also about the amazing work so many are doing to bring good local food to communities everywhere. If we “can’t fight city hall” we can at least feed ourselves and our community. Good gardens make great neighborhoods!

I heard about Urban Farming Guys via Jack Spirko at The Survival Podcast. Your goals and methods of creating sustainable communities not relying on government intervention and/or grants are wonderful. It is an inspiration of someone like me here in Houston, Texas.

I falsely feared being downtown while abiding in southern Johnson County Kansas most of my life … that is until I encountered some of the kindest, most genuine people on earth. I never imagined how fun life truly is until I took a leap of faith and actually experience living in “da hood”! Urban Farming Guys is an endeavor that goes beyond digging in the dirt …it’s richly rewarding by cultivating dignity, creating joy and bringing simplicity to every day life that is contagious… HOPE, not only for me and for this City, but future generations and nations! WOW!!
