Greenhouse Classroom
This 4500 sq ft greenhouse will serve as a cutting edge educational classroom behind our Makerspace, as well as as creating a couple jobs, and 100s of thousands of pounds of good food, fish and veggies, in one very disadvantaged food desert in Urban KC.
Starting July 1 to July 31. Alongside the large aquaponics build, we are going to make this thing SMART….we will be installing many sensors that report back to an online dashboard and by text messaging useful data such as temperature, humidity, ph, energy usage, dissolved oxygen, nutrient analysis, and lumens received. And we are publishing all of the science, and the DIY tutorials open source on our wiki for the world. All thanks to the Mozilla Gigabit Fund who has sponsored the Aquaponics Build & sensors.
If you would like to intern during this project, please fill out an application here. We are also looking for some project managers during the month. We will provide your room and food during your stay. Please apply to manage a project. We are looking for the following experience:
